BUSINESS PLAN FOR ONLINE COOKING COURSES FOR PARENTS OF CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS

Relevance. Autism, or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), is a developmental disorder that begins in childhood and will affect an individual throughout his or her life. ASD can cause serious social, communication and behavioral problems [1, 2].

People with ASD often have difficulty with social, emotional, and communication skills. They may repeat certain behaviors and become frustrated with changes in their daily activities. People with ASD tend to have non-standard ways of learning and paying attention or reacting to what is going on around them. Some people with ASD have trouble relating to others, avoid eye contact, and do not enjoy physical affection such as hugs [3, 4].

Signs of ASD begin in early childhood and persist throughout a person's life, although early intervention, including behavioral therapy and medication, can lead to positive outcomes. ASD is a common disorder. More than 8.5 thousand children with autism are registered in Kazakhstan, but according to international experts, the actual number of children with ASD is much higher than this figure. Thus, according to calculations by Dr. Eric Von Bonn, director of the Autism Institute at Oregon State University (USA), in our country 59,000 children have autism spectrum disorders. However, most of them do not receive proper skill correction, the Bulat Utemuratov Foundation reports [5].

For a long time, people have discussed the possible link between gluten-related digestive problems and the development of autism in children. In recent years, a special diet, the gluten- and casein-free diet (GFCF), has gained popularity among families with a child with autism, and many parents find that it helps [6].

The goal of the project is to create online courses for parents of children with ASD. Online training provides the opportunity to learn at a convenient time at a lower cost, and in addition allows you to choose the right tutor.

Service description

The center is intended for parents of children with ASD . Cost of a cooking course per month 16000 tenge three times a week for 1 hour (individually). Group classes 12 000 tenge three times a week for 1 hour.

On Sundays, the plan is to hold events such as an online meeting café, where everyone can talk about the course. The applicant also plans to hire a medical professional who specializes in dietetics to teach the course.

Marketing plan

Major promotional activities will take place online. Planned:

1. creating a website;

2. Maintenance of accounts in social networks (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Telegram, Vkontakte);

3. targeting advertising;

4. contextual advertising;

5. development of a branding.

Analysis of the competitive environment

The entrepreneur does not have his own premises, so he plans to rent suitable premises. The premises are planned to be opened in the area of 5-10 micro-districts of Uralsk city. Pricing policy within the project as well as geographical peculiarities of the project will allow it to take a leading position in this area of the city. Medical centers, correction centers may be considered as potential competitors.

There are 3 companies registered in Uralsk business directory with a focus on working with children with ASD, but not a single cooking course.

At the same time, the demand for such courses is growing in direct proportion to the growth of the population of the city.

At the initial stage of activity, with rented space, 1 instructor and involved lecturers, it is possible to serve up to 15-20 clients per day. In future we plan to expand the number of room, staff of lecturers and make the organization of our activity more complicated.
