ABSTRACT

This study examines how new digital technologies are transforming the educational environment in Kazakhstan. It analyzes the impact of online learning platforms, new teaching tools, and digital resources on student academic performance and teacher performance. Furthermore, it examines the advantages and potential disadvantages of digital education, considering access to technology, motivation, usage, and the potential limitations of the technology. Finally, it demonstrates the need to integrate technology into education to enable students to adequately navigate the modern digital society.

Keywords: education, digital technology, online learning, students, teachers, Kazakhstan.

introduction

Education plays a crucial role in social development and is the cornerstone of a successful society. In recent years, digital technology has firmly established itself as an indispensable element of the education system both within Kazakhstan and internationally. Schools, universities, and higher education institutions are enhancing computer literacy, leveraging the internet to strengthen learning, and improving education using computers, interactive whiteboards, digital platforms, online mobile applications, and their own interactive online tools. Rapid technological innovation is transforming traditional forms of education, and today students have access to online educational technologies. They can purchase necessary goods and services through interactive online courses and interact with learning materials through mobile apps, chat rooms, and remote classrooms. The situation has worsened significantly, especially since the COVID-19 pandemic, clearly demonstrating the importance and necessity for educational institutions to consider the characteristics of distance learning.

The impact of digital technology on the education system

Digital technology significantly improves educational standards by providing students and teachers with new ways of understanding and new forms of interaction with the learning process.

Availability of educational resources

While e-books, online university groups, academic and scientific materials, online libraries, educational videos, and other media have become readily available to users of e-learning resources (and many programs), access to them has only become this easy recently. This allows users to gain autonomy in their learning and engage in self-directed learning, which helps in the development of independent brain function and the acquisition of independent educational resources and research skills.

Modern technology transforms every lesson into a vibrant process. By utilizing a variety of tools such as presentations, videos, quizzes, and games, you can maintain student engagement and active participation. These interactive formats help students learn how to effectively tackle complex material.

Development of Digital Capabilities

Educational technology provides all students with the digital skills necessary to succeed in today's job market. At school, students learn how to apply these skills practically, such as creating virtual presentations and retrieving information.

 We offer remote learning options.

Online schools are a means of systematically conducting distance learning for students. Zoom, Google Classroom, and Microsoft Teams are just a few examples of systems that allow teachers and students to collaborate on a single platform.

Teachers contribute to creating a healthy environment.

For teachers, technology is a powerful tool in their work. They can create digital content, develop more effective online assessments, and gain a more accurate understanding of student comprehension than ever before. They can also deepen their existing expertise by participating in online professional development events.

Challenges of digital education

While digital education offers these advantages, it also presents significant challenges. Online classes may not be available in remote areas of a country or in regions with limited internet access. However, continuing to learn on a computer with poor signal strength can be even more difficult.

Lack of necessary technical equipment

Most families lack essential items like computers and smartphones. This inequality, in turn, hinders education in the classroom.

Violation and Motive

Students who are distracted by social media or video games may find it difficult to concentrate on online classes, and the lack of face-to-face interaction makes maintaining discipline online even more challenging.

Lack of digital literacy

Teachers and students need ongoing training because they have limited expertise and experience in using digital technologies more creatively.

The impact of technology in education: The future of technology in education

The relevance of computer technology to future education cannot be overemphasized. Artificial Intelligence (AI), Virtual reality (VR), and internet-based educational channels are just a few examples of the rapidly developing and significant technological innovations. Every school in Kazakhstan needs to invest in developing new digital solutions to succeed in this new world and prepare students and teachers for the new prospects of the future. Because creativity and critical thinking skills are difficult to cultivate, promoting autonomous learning, which is essential for success in modern society, demonstrates that leveraging technology and applying it to improve education is not only desirable but essential.

Conclusion

This study highlights the crucial role of digital technology in Kazakhstan's education system, primarily aimed at complementing knowledge sources and enhancing student motivation (including new approaches to distance learning and opportunities for professional development within technology integration strategies in schools and universities). However, persistent challenges such as poor internet access, uneven equipment availability, and low digital literacy among some stakeholders will necessitate collaborative solutions in this evolving environment. Collaboration among parents, educators, government agencies, and communities is critical to both ensuring equal access to quality education for all and effectively realizing the competitive, globally recognized education structure we desire within the existing system.
