The relevance of the research topic is due to the fact that the organization of student volunteerism plays an important role in the development of individuals individually and society as a whole, contributing to the formation of active citizenship and social responsibility among the younger generation.
Let's consider the meaning of the concept of "volunteerism" for each approach in more detail [1, с. 70]:
1. Within the framework of the social approach, volunteerism is considered as one of the forms of social activity aimed at the benefit of society. The key point here is the voluntary and gratuitous participation of people in solving social problems. This approach highlights the importance of volunteerism to strengthen social bonds and improve the quality of life in society.
2. The psychological approach focuses on the motivations that motivate people to participate in volunteerism. Researchers identify different types of motivation, such as altruism, the desire for self-development, the desire to help others, a sense of duty, etc. Understanding these motivations helps to better organize the process of attracting and retaining volunteers.
3. According to the economic approach, volunteerism is considered as an important resource for the economy, since it allows solving many social tasks without significant financial costs. Volunteers perform functions that might require pay if they were performed by professional workers. In this way, volunteerism helps to save money and increase the efficiency of resource use.
4. The legal approach considers volunteerism through the prism of legislation and regulatory legal acts. It defines the rights and obligations of volunteers, as well as defines the procedures governing their activities. It is important to note that legal norms may vary depending on the country and region, so this approach allows us to trace the influence of existing legal norms in society on the effectiveness of volunteerism.
5. The ethical approach focuses on the moral aspects of volunteerism. He explores issues of responsibility, fairness, and ethics in the behavior of volunteers. An important aspect is the observance of the principles of respect for human rights, non-discrimination and ensuring equal opportunities for all participants.
6. The pedagogical approach is related to the use of volunteerism as a means of upbringing and education. Students are involved in volunteer programs to gain life experience, develop social skills, and learn to take responsibility for their actions.
7. The international approach considers volunteerism as a global phenomenon that transcends national borders. It takes into account the peculiarities of cultural traditions, legal systems and economic conditions of different countries. This approach is important for understanding the international context of volunteerism and developing international standards and practices.
Each of these approaches complements each other, allowing for a comprehensive understanding of the phenomenon of volunteerism. Together, they help to create effective strategies and programs aimed at developing and supporting volunteerism.
