THE ROLE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN MODERN INFORMATION SECURITY
ABSTRACT
Artificial intelligence has become an important element of modern cybersecurity systems. Today organizations use intelligent technologies to detect cyber threats, analyze suspicious activity, and automate security processes. At the same time, attackers also apply artificial intelligence to create more dangerous and adaptive cyberattacks. This article examines the influence of artificial intelligence on information security, describes its advantages and risks, and analyzes the future development of intelligent cybersecurity technologies. The study demonstrates that artificial intelligence can significantly improve cyber defense when combined with professional expertise and responsible digital practices.

Introduction
The rapid growth of information technologies has transformed the global digital environment. Modern companies, government institutions, and private users rely heavily on computer networks and cloud services. Artificial intelligence has emerged as one of the most promising technologies in the field of information security. Intelligent systems can analyze huge volumes of data, identify unusual patterns, and detect cyberattacks in real time. Many cybersecurity experts believe that artificial intelligence will play a central role in future digital protection systems.

Artificial Intelligence in Cyber Defense

Risks and Challenges
Despite its advantages, artificial intelligence also creates new cybersecurity risks. Cybercriminals increasingly use AI technologies to automate attacks and improve phishing campaigns. Intelligent algorithms can generate realistic fake emails and messages that are difficult for users to recognize.
Deepfake technology represents another growing problem. Attackers can create fake audio or video recordings that imitate real people. Such technologies may be used for fraud, blackmail, or social engineering attacks.
In addition, AI systems themselves may become targets of cyberattacks. If attackers manipulate training data, machine learning algorithms may produce incorrect results. This problem is known as data poisoning and represents a serious challenge for cybersecurity researchers.
There are also ethical concerns related to artificial intelligence. Automated surveillance systems and large-scale data collection may threaten user privacy and digital rights.
Human Responsibility in the Age of AI
Although artificial intelligence improves cybersecurity capabilities, human responsibility remains extremely important. Security professionals must carefully monitor AI systems and verify their decisions. Overreliance on automation may create additional vulnerabilities.
Education and digital literacy are essential for modern internet users. People should understand how cyber threats operate and how artificial intelligence may influence online security. Strong passwords, cautious behavior online, and regular software updates continue to be basic but effective protection methods.
Organizations should combine AI technologies with employee training programs and clear cybersecurity policies. Effective protection can only be achieved through cooperation between intelligent systems and human expertise.

However, cybercriminals also use artificial intelligence to develop more sophisticated attacks.
The future of cybersecurity will depend on the responsible use of artificial intelligence and continuous improvement of digital protection strategies. Human awareness, ethical regulation, and technological innovation must work together to ensure a secure digital environment.
