ABSTRACT

This article substantiates the relevance of the topic of the attitude of young people to informal associations. According to the author, the relevance of the research topic is due to the fact that modern youth show a high interest in informal associations, which reflects their desire for an active social life, self-expression and search for support in the modern world. This highlights the importance of studying these associations to understand their role and impact on society. Informal associations that are characterized by certain negative aspects or are associated with risks (groups associated with extremism, groups of psychological and physical violence) are of great concern. Such associations can create a threat of destabilization of both society and the state system. It is important to investigate and analyze the factors influencing youth involvement in informal groups, as well as to develop strategies and prevent youth involvement in such groups.

The article considers the concepts of youth, subculture, informal youth group, informal youth associations; classification of informal groups is given.

The paper defines the goals-to study and analyze the reasons for the involvement of young people in informal youth associations.

Keywords: youth, associations, groups, teenagers, subculture, informal, involvement, ideology, health.

Over the past decades, many studies have focused on youth issues. Many of these studies focused on the study of informal associations, the level of interest and the degree of involvement of young people in them.

Modern society is focused on consumption, which makes it possible to discover new ways of self-identification in its various forms and game manifestations.

Informal youth associations are understood as a fairly wide and diverse range of phenomena, because they are based on such sources of formation as adolescent communication, youth subculture, and social initiative.

In general, there are a large number of definitions of the term "informal association", but all fix, first of all, the difference between such groups and associations of an institutional nature. By studying youth subcultures, we can overcome the rejection and misunderstanding between teenagers and the older generation. However, research in this area always faces a number of difficulties, as youth subcultures are constantly developing dynamically, their ideology, symbols, etc. are changing.

The involvement of young people in the subculture is determined by a number of needs, for example, the need for information, emotional contact, realization, self-expression, and elimination of feelings of anxiety, which once again underlines the importance of such youth associations as a powerful factor of socialization, recognized as such since the end of the last century.

In recent years, there has been a significant increase in young people's interest in various informal groups, which are often formed around certain ideologies or subcultures. These associations can include both social and antisocial elements, which requires an in-depth analysis of their impact on the mental and physical health of young people.

Participation in informal youth associations can lead to mass identity formation, but it is also associated with risks such as peer pressure, involvement in antisocial behavior, aggression, and even criminality. It is important to understand exactly what factors contribute to the involvement of young people in such groups and how this affects their development.

There are biased opinions about informal associations, which can affect the relationship of young people with their parents and society as a whole. Given the global changes taking place in the world, including changes in the socio-economic situation, cultural transformations and technological development, research on this topic becomes especially relevant for understanding modern challenges related to the behavior of young people.

Involvement of minors in informal associations is the most urgent problem of our time.

This article serves as a basis for further research in the field of social attitudes and ideological preferences of young people.
