In the XXI century, the role of the information environment is increasing, and the refore, the types of professional and educational activities associated with the use of large amounts of information, which are already growing. This type of activity is impossible without the use of computer technology. Now its spread is so great that it is quite legitimate to raise the question of individual psychological and social consequences of global computerization and Informatization. The Internet is increasingly affecting the personality of people, which, for example, manifests itself in Internet addiction, which is becoming an increasingly common disease in modern society, or in an excessive passion for knowledge in the field of programming and telecommunications, or in a passion for computer games. We are interested in how this affects students ' learning, leisure and health.

Main part

The phenomenon of Internet addiction has been studied in foreign psychology since 1994. Internet addiction is defined as an obsessive desire to get online while offline, and an inability to get off the Internet while «online». Dr. Kimberly young, Director Of the center for Internet addiction, who has studied more than 400 cases of IBS, believes that anyone with access to a modem and the Internet can become an Internet addict, with home computer owners at the highest risk. According to Dr. Young, the typical Internet addict, contrary to the established stereotype of a computer addict, is a woman in her mid - thirties with a high level of education. Until there is enough reliable data, but according to preliminary estimates, from 1 to 5 percent of  Internet users become addicted to it. K. Yang, studying the Internet junkies discovered that they often use chat rooms (37%), conference (15%), email (13%), website www (7%), information protocols (FTP server, gopher) (2%). These Internet services can be divided into those that are associated with communication, and those that are not associated with communication, but are used to obtain information. The first group includes chat rooms, teleconferences, and email, and the second group includes information protocols. Young notes that this study also found that Internet addicts mostly use aspects of the Internet that allow them to meet, communicate, and exchange ideas with new people in a highly interactive environment. In other words, most Internet users use Internet services related to communication.[2] The Internet has become very important in modern society. According to the rules of modern society, it is almost impossible to exist without using Internet resources. Using the Internet is a global time saver, but there is no denying that excessive Internet use can affect our psyche. No wonder there is such a saying: "Everything is good in moderation." According to the survey, more than half of the respondents spend a large amount of time on the Internet, which negatively affects their health, but they are also not dependent on the Internet, as they prefer to spend time with real people, and use the Internet mainly to help with learning and developing various skills.

Conclusion

Based on the theory and results of the survey, we can say that the Internet plays an important role in the lives of students. First of all, the Internet saves us time and helps us quickly find answers to our questions. With the help of the Internet, students have the opportunity to study, work, communicate from a distance, watch movies, and develop in different areas of activity. Also thanks to the Internet, you no longer need to spend your time shopping or waiting in queues. From the house, you can make purchases and pay utility bills. Thanks to various websites, a person can book a train or plane ticket, as well as choose a tour in advance and pay for it. People are becoming freer from their daily routines. Using For example, you can get a higher education by correspondence or take language courses. In addition, the teachers will be native speakers and professionals in their field. You can get world-class diplomas and certificates that will be quoted not only in our country, but also abroad. Anyone can expand their horizons thanks to the Internet. To do this, just open a scientific website or watch an interesting movie. Everything is publicly available on the Internet, and most of the information is completely free. Any good specialist can find a job that interests him. You can work remotely as a lawyer, economist, accountant, proofreader, designer, etc. The Salary for remote work is sometimes higher than the average salary in a provincial city. Based on the data obtained, we came to the conclusion that our hypothesis is correct. The Internet has a positive impact on students ' lives.
